The Future of Spider-Man: Get Ready to Get Across the Spider-Verse Movie!

CinemaCon 2023 is an event which brings together news from the major studios like Sony Pictures, Warner Bros., Disney, Universal Pictures and many more. On April 24th, Sony presented some previews of the films set to be released soon including the first glimpse of Kraven the hunter a special glimpse of  Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse  and sneak peeks at the features Napoleon and The Night of the Devil: The Red Door.

One of the most anticipated productions this year is the sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse which was a huge success, opening a window for the exposure of additional arachnid identity types like Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, Peter B. Parker, Spider- Man 2099 and an infinity more. Some 14 minutes of the animated film directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Justin K. Thompson and Kemp Powersy were screened as part of the character. Based on the comments of the attending press the scene focused on the reunion between Miles and Gwen. The premiere is scheduled for June 2.

In the live-action adaptation movie, the character to be portrayed will be Kraven, the hunter. Written by J. C. Chandor The story will be based on an iconic and famous villains of Marvel comics. It will also feature Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Bullet Train, and Kick Ass) in the role of Spidey's deadly adversary. The first preview was revealed at CinemaCon and everything would point towards the brutality of the character, especially when Spidey is shown slaughtering an animal with his own hands. In advance of the release date on the 6th of October 2023, the film was confirmed that it would be R-rated.

This calendar year Ridley Scott will present his new and ambitious project: a war biopic that will focus on Napoleon Bonaparte, who will be played by Joaquin Phoenix (Joker). Napoleon will hit theatres on the 22nd of November this year. It will then be followed by a worldwide release through Apple TV+. It is not the first time that the director has worked in the period genre -see Gladiator as well as The Last Duel-, which is why there are high expectations about how he will take on the role to one of Europe's most influential commanders in the military of Europe.

For those who love horror, finally, The Night of the Demon: The Red Door (Insidious: The Red Door) will be out. The film is the fifth installment of the film series and for the first time it will be set under the directorship of the main character, Patrick Wilson (in his debut as a film director). Its release in theaters in Latin America will be on July 6.

When at the end of the first film in Spider-Man: A New Universe, the director left Miguel O'hara an easter-egg following the credits, all fans of the arachnid were jumping for joy at seeing one of the most loved Spider-Man on screen. Then, it was confirmed that Spider-Man 2099 was going to be the antagonist in the sequel to the Miles Morales movies and the expectations grew.

One of the main reasons that took the first installment to a new level was its high quality animation of the world and the various designs that every Spider-Man was carrying. The sequel has a great problem to tackle and the filmmakers have set out to improve upon what was previously achieved by taking the viewer to different worlds. Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore) will traverse six different universes. Each one will be distinct depending on the culture they want to convey. He learns about the characteristics of each universe and what they will look like.
